The theatre of Heerlen during the blue hour. The night is falling in Heerlen, so people go out to the theatre. On this picture the theatre is beautifully illuminated and has nice light itself and the sky isn’t completely dark yet.

Avignon with Pont d’Avignon
Avignon shortly after Sunset. The bridge of Avignon (Pont d’Avignon) is clearly visible, as is the Papal Palace (Palais des Papes), the river Rhone and the traffic in this long exposure.
Praia do Carvoeiro – Faro District
Carvoeiro is a small village in the Algarve region, Portugal. Surrounded by high cliffs the beautiful sandy beach is perfectly sheltered against wind. So this place is popular amongst tourists who want to spend the winter here. But I can imagine that in summer the beach will be full too.
Venice per Vaporetto (Waterbus)
Taking the Vaporetto to Venice really is a joyful experience. The view shortly before arriving at Saint Markus Square is very impressive and you can clearly see the Markus Tower.
Krifi Ammos at Skiathos
At Skiathos, a very beautiful Island at the Sporades, Greece, you can find a lot of beautiful beaches. But Krifi Ammos, called the “Hidden Beach”, certainly is a special beach. It is a rather small beach in a small bay. And you have to walk a little bit to get there, so it is rather quiet, especially off season.
Old City of Aachen – Spitzgässchen
This alleyway is found near the cathedral of Aachen in the old city of Aachen. This picture shows the Cafe Rose and the cathedral shop during the blue hour.
Gouvernement Maastricht
In this building, functioning as the Province Hall of the Dutch province Limburg) in Maastricht at the Maas reside the Provinciale Staten (parliament of the province Limburg) and the Gedeputeerde Staten (Government of the province Limburg). The chairman is called Gouverneur, but only in the province Limburg. His official title is the King’s Commissioner.
This picture was taken during the blue hour and shows this interesting building with the river Maas in the foreground. The illumination reflects in the Maas beautifully giving some extra colour and light.
Bonnefantenmuseum Maastricht
The Bonnefantenmuseum in Maastricht is a museum of fine art. It is housed in a building from the Architect Aldo Rossi. It is considered a landmark of Maastricht.
This picture shows the Bonnefantenmuseum at night, taken from the other side of the Maas, making the river Maas a nice foreground for the building in this picture, with reflections from the lights on the other side.
Skiathos Town
Skiathos from above. From this place on a hill in the center of the city there is a beautiful view over the capital of the island Skiathos with the same name. This city is full of life, but life is very relaxed. So you can stroll through the city, you can go clubbing or just chill and relax, everything is ok.
Endless beach of Evia (Euboea)
This phenomenal beach is situated on the northern part of the island Euboea, Greece. It is the second largest island of Greece. This beach starts to the south of Limni, goes around Katounia (where you can find a tavern) and stretches out for some kilometers. It is a very nice walk along the beach and as there are almost no tourists, you can enjoy tranquillity anywhere you like.
